Out and About: Sweetwater Wetlands Park

by Eunjeong Park, RW40

Anhinga at Sweetwater Wetlands Park

Last week, I went to the Sweetwater Wetlands Park in Gainesville. The place was very cool for me. First it was so wide that my heart was wide open. There were many wild animals like alligators, birds, and snakes. I saw them from a close distance and it was incredible. The sunlight was perfect, and taking a walk under the blue sky in the green land healed me so much. So, if anybody asks me about the place, I recommend this one.

Grammar

What is the difference between ‘me either’ and ‘me neither’?

Both phrases are used to agree to a negative statement and have the same meaning as ‘neither + (verb) + I’ (neither have I, neither do I, neither am I). Both are more informal than ‘neither + (verb) + I’. Here is an example:

If your friend says:

  • “I haven’t started my homework yet.”

You could say:

  • “Neither have I.” (most formal)
  • “Me neither.”
  •  “Me either.” (least formal)

Birthdays!

Students:

  • 2/22—Hyojin Shin
  • 9/26—Natalia Oropeza Oropeza

Staff:

  • 9/21—Minsang Kim
