The University of Florida English Language Institute (UF ELI) offers intensive English programs that prepare students for using English in the real world. Our methods of instruction are based on current research in the fields of language teaching, acquisition, learning and assessment, and the more than 60 years of experience we have had teaching English to international students at the University of Florida. Our faculty and staff are committed to excellence in providing quality service and education. The ELI main office is open from 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, during the semester. You can visit us or schedule a remote advising session by calling 352-392-2070 between 8:00am and 4:30pm EST, or by emailing StudyEnglish@eli.ufl.edu. (See semester break office hours below.)
