Bio
Iman earned her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in Linguistics from the University of Florida. She has a TESOL Certificate from the University of Arizona, and she currently teaches ESOL at Santa Fe College. She has expanded her knowledge through graduate coursework in TESOL and Islamic Studies. She has a diverse professional background in the fields of education, research, academic editing, life sciences, graphic design, translation, and marketing. While living in Mexico for four years, she studied the P’urhepecha language, photo documented local traditions, and taught an English Oral Communications course for adults. She has also studied Arabic, Finnish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Sindarin (Elvish). Her travels have taken her to Saudi Arabia, Panama, France, and the Netherlands. She is grateful to be a part of the ELI family where she has the opportunity to meet people from around the world and help them achieve their goals.
